Bellydance Show in Santa Cruz
This Saturday June 21, 2008 I will be performing at 5:47 with the Repertoire Ensemble directed by Suhaila Salimpour. The hafla is at the Veterans Memorial Building, 846 Front Street in Santa Cruz. Also at the location will be vending other performances and the Double Crown Bellydance Competiton.
I am so excited for this performance. It is the same show we did at Rakkasah West in March but in March I was in the drum solo and sword dance and this time I will be in Ali Gara and the sword dance. I am nervous about being in Ali Gara because it is a very hard dance but at the same time I am excited to be able to do something different this time. Also our sword dance groups are different so it will be fun to get to be on stage working with my new group members.
Also I love shopping for bellydance costumes and jewelry so I hope there are lots of vendors there. And I need some new music too. Any suggestions on some good bellydance music for someone who likes to listen to hip/hop and pop.
If anyone is able to go I highly recommend you visit the booths for Suhaila Salimpour - I love all her CDs and DVDs (even if I am a little biased 
and Crystal Silmi she is also trained by Suhaila and has a great energy and I love her style.
